It was still snowing when I took these photos this morning. Everyone's favorite is the view from Central.
This is a view not many of us see.
The snow comes in on a north wind.
There were some mighty big flakes falling out there.
Almost a white out.

Late Bloomers
Besides the flowering cabbage,
and the winter pansy,
it is possible to see on this very cold day, pink roses
yellow roses,
and even red roses. Are these the last roses of summer?

New Beginning
The power of Sandy! This tree snapped off and is blocking the Maris Trail, but the Loop Trail is open.
A mallard swims in our wetlands pond. There were about a dozen there when members of the Grounds committee met with the wetlands designer to discuss progress and what we should be doing next. So look for changes in the strings, and some mowing during the winter. We also discussed how to keep the deer and geese out and let the fox in. We hope to get the fox to reduce the vole population.
