Beautiful Day - Foulkeways and Beyond

My day started with a walk at Foulkeways where I saw this red-bellied woodpecker on the side of a tree.
This male mallard looked especially fetching in the early morning light.
And this song sparrow was - what else - singing!
The bluebirds are back and in the house in the meadow  again.
This beautiful bloodroot will be in the path of construction-destruction.
Our trip beyond took us exploring to Lower Nike Park in Bucks county.
That is a sign that the birders like to see.
There is a bird blind and feeders that were not quite full, but did have some seed.
Enough seed to attract a pair of goldfinches.
A lovely paved path leads through the woods and under the power lines to the reservoir.  We even saw a cabbage white butterfly!
