Some new, some old

New for this year, the common milkweed is now blooming.
The first butterfly weed is also in bloom.  Has anyone seen a Monarch butterfly?
I did see this azure plant an egg on my New Jersey Tea.  Too bad we don't have more of these host plants at Foulkeways.
The yarrow is beginning to bloom in the meadow and wetland.
We often see the song sparrow singing, but this one was panting with the heat.

I've seen it before, but enjoy seeing again, this Halloween pennant.
If you wait the frog chorus will sing for you down at the wetlands.
A first for the season was this twelve-spotted skimmer dragonfly.
