Feeding the Birds

Where I live at Foulkeways there are four apartments in a row with bird feeders outside.
There are often multiple bird feeders in any one yard.
Bird feeders came in many different designs.
Many feeders are empty right now.  Maybe the owners haven't started to feed the birds.
Many take drastic measures to thwart the squirrels.
I wonder how they keep the squirrels off this elegant platform feeder.
There are even feeders at Gwynedd House.
And at Abington House.
Some even just scatter seed on the ground.
But with all those feeders here is a white-throated sparrow happily hunting for food among the oak leaves.
So if you see birds at your feeders or among the leaves, you can report them on the sign-up sheet on the Nature Bulletin Board, which is near the bank and the FRA room.
Happy bird-watching.
